Replacing the badge

Just wondering how easy it is to replace my original badges (bonnet and boot) with carbon fibre badges? (E90)

Its a very easy job.

Just remove old one and put new one on.

Depends on whether you are replacing the badge with the backing plate or not. If not, you simply use a thin precision driver to pry the old emblem off the backing plate.

If replacing the entire item, a prying tool would be best but many don't have if you don't deal with this stuff daily. A thin broad front (about 8-10mm) object placed on the underside of both the right and left, Pry away from the body to pull protruding tabs out of the inserted rubber grommets.

PS: Use a cloth between tool and paint work to prevent scratches.

Thanks guys, just replaced the badge, was a bit concerned that I might damage the paintwork. The job took a little more than a minute to complete.
