Replaceing Diesel and Air Filter

Hello again guys

How regular should the air filter (BMW 320d, E46, 2003), and
the diesel filter be replaced?

I am starting to take my car from one side to the other to repair, replace, service, etc everything.

This weekend I bought a headlight repair kit because my car's was faded and it seems if it was slightly sandblasted. It took me all day to get it better, polishing, polishing......

Next month it is tyres and hopefully respray next year. I want to change from white to pearl white. I want to import new headlights and so on....

Have a great day.:flyfun:

Usually airfilter every year or 10 -15k km and diesel filter every 30k km. But I do mine every year. So plus minus every 10 -15k km.

I have all filters replaced on every service, as these diesels can get quite dirty with the fuel quality in SA.

The last air filter I took out with my last service didn't look too dirty, yet I replaced it anyway. You never know when the system can get clogged up somewhere.

In my opinion, replace with every service

I got a K&N I clean and reoil every 10 000kms.

Just please do not get a cheap respray. Like nothing under R15 000. We had one done on the 330d for R9k and I'm still regretting it. But sorted out some rust issues at least.

Also changing colour isn't recommended. Unless the car is coming to be stripped completely as the engine bay and door sills will be a different color. But white to pearl white may not be too noticeable.
