Dude? Stromung? Do research, son.
In terms of best sounding it goes Eisenmann (no doubt), Stromung, Borla, UUC, then everything else just sounds the same. Except an Eisenmann setup is custom fit (no kits) and costs start at $1800.

sorry, i have never heard of it.. Cant be that good, if nobody is raving about it.

But i will find out more.

And i rate akrapovic, eissenman, kreissig..

If its up there with these, dnt expect it to be cheap. The prices are crazy!

You won't find people in SA raving about it, since it would have to be imported and as you've pointed out, not very well known. Doesn't have to be well known to sound good though. :) There was a topic on Bimmerforums for exhaust advice, and it was neck and neck between Eisenmann/Stromung, guys rave about them!

What I want to know is how a Cowley setup sounds on an E36, I adored it on my E30.

i was referring to international reviews.. Coz, lets face it very very few guys have these systems in SA. So i wouldnt expect raving from locals :)

Anyway, are you only interested in sound?
Then it would be a waste of money, dnt u think?

Coz these systems are over 50k, depending on application.

This only really applies to me. Guys with E36's with E36 engines or E46's with E46 engines, etc, can buy a once off Remus unit like yours, and know that it'll fit because it was made for them, and have correct power gain figures. Me, I have an E36 engine in an E30, so the fitment has to be custom, and since the performance figures these guys quote is for their complete system, I shop for how it sounds, and will get proper headers/piping made up, and hope to get a performance gain somewhere in the system. That's why I was asking for Stromung boxes, they sound hot, don't know their performance gain by themselves, and no one can really claim one for standalone boxes.

aah, ok.. Understand your setup.
So do they make custom exhausts for your requirements?

I think you would be better off using a local company to make up your rear exhaust, since its basically just for sound.
There are quite a few locals that make up excellent systems.. And the prices are much better.

I personally think the likes of these big brands are way over priced.

Yeah, I was asking out of interest really. :) I'm probably going to end up going with TNT headers and Cowley boxes put together by Powerpipes.
