Hi guys I recently bought a 320i E90 2010 model and a week later I discovered that now I have to press the remote multiple times before it locks and unlocks.

Any one had this issue? if so what's the deal?

I think there is a general lack of etiquette on the forum. Guys just using it to for a quick fix to solve their problems. Maybe mods need to look at changing the requirements. :dunnoanymore:

Hi Bud, It might be that the key fob battery is running low or the locking actuator is on its way out.

Cheapest would be pay R30 for a new key battery and see if the issue persist.
When my key battery was going low the car actually complained.

Hi Guys!

Quick Update I went to BMW where they first wanted to charge me for diagnostics when I already know the key is faulty and probably were gonna charge me R4000 for a new key.

Luckily one of the employees there was kind enough to refer me to a place close to my home where they just charged me R350 to fix my problem in 15mins.
:bravo:

The problem was that the battery was no longer charging so they replaced it with a new one.

BMW refuses to open up the FOB and would rather replace the entire key.

If you are in the Northern Suburbs of CT the place I went to was Drive Sure
They also quoted me R800 for a new key which will only take about 45mins.
