Hi guys, want to have my 2006 330i e90 serviced and checked out as well, i only have the car for about 3 months so i would like to take it to someone who could check it out and let me know what exactly is going on, could someone please advise me who/where to in Cape Town, I'm really looking for someone that is reliable and I can trust and not just looking to make money by telling me this and that is wrong if there isn't really issues and also someone who is efficient who won't keep my car there for longer than what it should be dragging the process out to make it seem like it's a big job so they can justify their price, I don't mind paying for quality service but must be reasonable also. I might sound like an ass but I'm looking for a guy who actually wants to help the customer out and does not just see it as a job, which is very rare nowadays because I hear good things about a certain place then I again also hear very bad things about them so I don't know who to go to, some advice would be highly appreciated :ty:

Thanks
Yaseen

You will hear good and bad things about every business. Do a forum search bud.

Brilliant mechanical workshop - southern suburbs.

Garage 808 - northern

Lol forgot to mention that I know I will hear good and bad things about places, but looking for a place where the general consensus is quality work and service is great all about keeping the customer happy. Sounds impossible but there should be someone out there who matches the description lol

I will give a shout to APS in stikland. They have always offered me great honest service.

First time I took my e36 m3 to them to chat about doing some stuff, they reset my airbag light for free there and then.

I've only heard good stories about the following, in no particular order:
  • APS
  • SVG Autoworks
  • Brilliant Mechanical Workshop
  • Garage 808
I've had experience with SVG, and had no issues with them.

My vote is also Garage808. But reading through some of your threads, it seems like you have a number of issues mentioned, so hopefully Colin will be able to find the culprit. There are many common issues with these engines and loads of DIY's for that matter. But it is worth getting the car to a good workshop that has the necessary test gear.

Super Street Autoworx gets my vote.

Spent tons of unnecessary money at Brilliant Mechanical over a misfire issue that was never rectified. Took it to Super Street Autoworx and Talon found the issue in a day.

I 2nd that. Talon has been looking after my car even when it was still under MP. He is about a million times better than any of the stealerships and would highly recommend him. He also does the Carbon cleaning, so you know your baby is getting properly looked after.

APS gets my vote. Anton & Paul will always give good advice & has the customers (& their car's) interests at heart.
