Reinstating a Motorplan

Hi

Im interested in 2 vehicles. One being a 2011, 120i Convertible, mileage is 51000km and price is R170000. Second is a 2012, 135i DCT, mileage is 28000km and price is R209000. Both I believe is reasonable but both motorplans suspended due to owners repairing at panel shops not approved by BMW.

What is the process and approximately how much does it cost?

Thanks in advance

Very difficult to get it reinstated! Check with the dealers, but they don't normally do it. Great price on the 135 with only 28,000km

You can have it reinstated provided you get car repaired to original specifications and that car meets quality inspection.

I agree with Ratslaaf...

Usually cars repaired outside approved repairers will not be done to spec, and poorly done. It indicates that the owner didn't have insurance cover on the car. Now if they can't pay a premium, trust me, he'll look for the cheapest insurer they can find.

That said, there's exceptions maybe... One thing for sure mate, it will cost you a heap of money to restore, may as well get one already on plan, and doesn't have accident history.
