refurbished turbo fitted but still no power

Hi all. My turbo was replaced today 07 my 2006 x3 however the mechanic now says that there is no boost and to get a seal that goes over the turbo as dust will get in [/b][/align]and to get someone to do a diagnostic reset as it could be in limp mode. He also mentioned about some sensor in the pipe. Does this sound right ?

I got a replacement pipe from Mr turbo which worked find as the pipe had a tear on the curve so that is 1 problem that was
resolved
