Recall on 2011 E90 335i Propshaft Coupling

Hi Peeps,

Who else has this campaign for their vehicle. Apparently it is new from what I could find in the net (BMW started recalling after 31 March 2017)? I think it affects more than must the 2011 models.

Just curious who else has been affected and if theirs was changed. I wonder if it is related to the clicking I hear when drive to the wheels is initiated at pull away. Mostly hear this when parking using a back and forth maneuver into a spot. Reminds me of the prop shafts noises sometimes heard whilst 4wheeling.

My vehicle is booked at Leo Haese Pretoria on Monday to have it looked at.

Let me know about this as well. I think i got the same sound. E90 2011 as well. Took it to bmw a couple of times and they said it is like that

Eitherway, I hope they replace whatever potentially needs to be replaced as per the recall.

Car went in. They didn't have to replace anything. Seems my vehicle is unaffected.
