Rear entertainment X3 G01

Rear seat entertainment systems tend to date badly. I haven't used the newest ones though. Tablet holders and headphones get my vote. How often will you be using it anyway?

I don't have an X3, but I have come up with a cheap solution on my Swedish Tractor Wagon for R1,078:

Alcatel 7 inch 1T tablet = R999 (https://www.game.co.za/game-za/en/A...lcatel-1T-7-3G-Tablet-Prime-Black/p/794381-EA)

Car headrest tablet mount = R79 (https://snatcher.co.za/products/tablet-headrest-mount-bracket)

Works perfectly.
Apps and videos are downloaded on the home wifi.
Battery life is decent and can be powered from the 12V socket in the rear.

Also, I can take it out when the car is parked in a public place.
I can imagine some thieves breaking into parked X3s, thinking that the OEM units are removable.

In my X6 I have the rear entertainment. It is good and effective but as @TurboLlew has set they become quite dated. What I did on my discovery was go to a place called sound louder and they installed screens in the rear.

These screens look oem in the back, they were wireless headphone friendly, had dvd and USB capability as well as 4G so could stream when needed back in the screens android system. Very neatly installed and the screens have the vehicle oem badge on start up. Was around 10k for two screens but really worked well.

Its your call however, my son is still fine with Dvds in the rear of the X6 but he notices the headphone cable often. The new X3 maybe wireless however my X6 is old a 2016.
