Radio pairing

Have just bought an e87 120d exclusive LCI. Tried pairing 4 phones to the handsfree without success. Goes through the whole process including the password. Phone picks up saying connected but HU shows pairing in progress and then reverts back to the radio at which point the phone says cannot connect. Have disconnected the MULF2, cleared everything off, checked the optical cable into the MULF2. Suggestions will be welcomed. Also, 2 of the phones are on the BMW.com approved list. Tried both iOS and Android same result.

Hey man,

Had a similar issue with the F20, used an ENET cable with ISTA/P to remove all updates on the NAV system. Resync the time across all control modules and it was fixed.

In your case you will need a KCAN/KDCAN cable with ISTA/D to try and remove updates.

It may or may not work, but worth a try if you have a ODBII cable for your E87.
