Radiator Bleeding issues

Hi Guys. Can someone plz help me with the procedure for bleeding my radiator. I had a new radiator and upper hose fitted. I don't think the guys bled the system correctly. The upper hose gets very hot and the lower hose stays cold. BMW 320i 2007. E90 Steptronic. Thanks.

. Hi Daniel according to the pelican procedure I need to put the key on, put the heater on high and fan speed on low, but the heater won't come on without the engine started. Am I missing something here or is there a different procedure for that particular model. Thanks.

It's a 320i so you probably got a mechanical water pump so this procedure won't work for you, you need to remove the cap of the expansion bottle, turn the interior heater on full and fan on at least, start the car and loosen the expansion screw on the tank, keep topping up with water till there is no bubbles coming out the bleed screw, let the car idle till warmish and close the bleed screw and expansion tank cap. You done...

To honest my friend I drive an E36.... I've had no experience with an E90. Unfortunately this is as far as I can help u. But putting your interior fan on opens the heater core even if the engine is running. Hence putting the ignition on. Similarly with an old car one would switch the car on but not start it. The engine coolant runs through the heather core and the air blowing runs through this, thus heating it up. You might notice that in the morning the heater doesn't immediately blow warm air. (But does after a few k's of driving). So to get ALL the coolant out of the system you need to open the heater valves (by switching the car on, not starting it, and turning the heater to full). I hope you come right. Sorry for the repetitive explanation. If I'm missing anything maybe one of the more experienced forum members will offer their 2c

Also when bleeding try to have the nose the highest point of the vehicle. This helps the air bubbles flow to the top (being the radiator)

Hi Kish any idea what temperature the upper radiator hose should be. I've just replaced with a new upper hose, the previous one fitted by the radiator guys broke off at the plastic fitting closest to the radiator, I'm just hoping it did not break of because it got too hot. I cannot afford to buy another one. Thanks.
