Purchasing a 330d 2006 model

Hi Guys

A little perspective please?
A colleague at work is selling his 330d.
It is a 2006 model with130 000 kms on the clock.
It has a full service history from BMW.
I have driven with him on two occassions and the car is really neat.
It is black.
He is a conservative driver. I doubt he has taken this thing over 170KM per hour.

He wants R150 000 for it.
I have checked on Autotrader and similer models go for about R170 000, but from dealers.
I called Alberante BMW and they tell me that the book on this car is about R153 000.
They could not give me a trade in value, though.
Will trade in value differ significantly from book value?

Do you guys think that this is a good buy?
Were there any major problems on this year model that I should check out ( turbo failures, gearbox issues, etc)?

Thanks for the help in advance

Thanks guys

I will meet with him today to give the car a once over.

If I do buy it, at least my 328i vert will have a rest.
It has been my daily driver for 9 years and it has about 270 000kms on the clock!

I think R145k is a fair price. I was offered R160k by BMW for my 2007 330d M Sport (with 90000km) in December 2011.

These are super engines - have test driven a few 330d's and they were all impressive and nice to drive, and these were all with manual gearboxes, so probably even better if you are looking at and prefer the automatic gearbox, which is generally better suited for this engine!
