Now that I have a time to set my sights on, I'll start putting in some laps - doubt I will get close since I usually only drive the Formula cars which I find easier to drive.

Out of interest, that was done in Free Practice mode (fuel starts at 60), and then did you tweak the car setup at all?

Nope, he just chose the Z4 and pressed start.

Keen, I tend to do better in the Formula cars as I'm so used to F1 (although the F1 games aren't a great sim). Hoping to get some time this week to do some more laps and lose with a smaller margin

I bought a wheel Thrustmaster TX. Was testing last night and got in the 1:47 but still have to get used to the wheel as I did 30 or so laps with 2 clean laps.

Game + wheel = Awesome

Got the Thrustmaster TX 458 Italia for R3199 x vat if anyone is interested. That is for Xbox one and PC.

Epic bud. Make sure you google how to set up that wheel perfectly... makes a big difference to the times.

BTW I raced online with some guys and i was not the fastest. SOme guy had his in the mid 1.44's... :/

If you don't mind sharing, what settings do you use in the Logitech configuration? I have special configs specifically for the F1 games, but my sim settings are super unrefined so I usually stick to stock.

If you are talking about the Logitech Profiler then I will post my settings up here when i get home bud, will take a screenshot and post it up. I will also type up my in game settings.
