Power Steering Problem. Help!

Hi Guys!

Not sure if there's a post for this already.

I have a 2004 Cooper S. My power steering pump and fan has failed.
BMW wants to charge me R12000! for a new one. WTF! I mean Honestly
now. I'm in Cape Town trying to see if I can organize a refurbishment one
or a replacement at a decent price.

Any help would be much appreciated!

give these guys a try they up in joburg but I think itll still be cheaper than 12k

GG Motor Spares : 0114935252 or mini spares 0118373043. the other option is try your local spares shop as I know alot of them stock mini spares now

Ill give them a call. I know a lot of guys organize them from scrap yards etc.
I really don't have the time to be doing this though. Even the prices online
America for example. $450 for a brand new unit. How can they possibly charge 12k here?

Haven't been on for a while... But the DIY in the previous post worked!

Jaked the far up. Took the pump out and stripped it. Was kak dirty. Bleed the system. New claps. Put back it. Works like a charm. No problems now for a month.

You can try Zeemax they charged me R2500 odd for a new pump on my E46 320I
