Good Day Members

So the planning for Raceday 2019 has started with the date set as
Sat 17 August 2019.

As usual we like to take in the opinions and give members a chance to vote and see what type of event they want.

2018 was a great success, with our 1st ever track day , and we combined it with drag racing in the afternoon. Everyone has an awesome time despite the fears of the rain and cold weather.

We have 2 options and would like to see where this takes us by the end of next week.

PLEASE VOTE USING THE POLL AT THE TOP OF THIS POST. Don't type what you option you voting for.

Option 1 : Track/Drag days combined into 1 as per 2018

Option 2 : We have 2 days where we attend a open track day , one in the 1st quarter of the year, one in the 3rd or 4th quarter. As its an open day, it means its 1st come 1st serve with limited spots available as we not running an event, we just piggy backing off an open day.
This option will then leave the RACEDAY as a drag racing event only.

I voted option 2.

Even though last year's event was epic, and I was amoungst the track participants, I voted option 2 because I recall the organisers battled to get all the track spots filled and eventually even opened a bike group.
Whereas the drag spots were all filled in a matter of days.
So it would seem drag racing is the more popular option and as such would make for a better turnout for both participants and spectators.
