My E39 540i is really looking sad these days, worst of all my gearbox has packed up. Kindly Clutchy donated his old one to my asistance. Also Uber who helped me to get it down to Cape Town.
Rick540 and I, removed the valve body from the spare box and replaced it in mine but to no avail. One of the clucth packs has gone up the river.
Furthermore I have just been evicted and have moved in with the in-laws, and you guessed correctly there is no place to work on the BMW. I only started working on 3rd of Jan as a real estate agent so there is no guarentee of money.
So here is my plea, I need someone with access to a lift to tow my bmw from kraaifontein to their lift, remove the exhaust and gearbox, then store it for +- one week whilst Rick540 rebuilds the box at his house and then to reinstall.
