Park brake actuator repair / recon

Hallo, anyone ever reconditioned one of these before on a X5 ?

I never really used the park brake as I was told that they are a common issue on the X5. 2 weeks ago started the car and up came an alert, "Park brake failure".

Tried to read up about it and watched some videos. Beeline in Midrand has the actuator for between R6K and R7500.

Ross Duncan Motors in Midrand has a German part and complete replacement with parts are R12500.

Not sure if anyone actually repairs those modules. Will be good to find out.

Yes I saw Beeline, will get me one there. Bit want to recon/repair the current one. And keep it as a spare. Will keep the X///M for a while and might be worth it having a spare.
