older model cars

Hi All,

Just thought I would put something out there that I have been keeping an eye on for the past few weeks.

Have any of you noticed of the cars on the road that come from model ranges that were new around 10 years ago by all manufacturers, which are still running and in my opinion out number others by far? From what I have seen there are 2 that out number their competitors of the time. Both are BMW's. The e46 by multitudes and the e39. Just is incredible to see how many are still on the road versus anything else. Testement to what fantastic cars they were/still are! :praise::bravo:

If you get bored in the traffic, something to do/observe

My E46 is going to be 13 in two months, bulletproof cars. Nicely kept E39s (especially with M-Tech) are still head turners imo.

Very good cars but i think most cars are bulletproof if maintained properly.

Had a 1998 Golf 3 GTS which had over 300k kms on the clock(clock zeros at 300k) for over 6 years and only replaced a water pump. No other problems at all.

All depends how its been looked after and maintained

Granted, it was not cheap to maintain it, but hey, it is still going strong.
