Old Fivers

I had the biggest automotive boner this past Saturday.
I was drooling at Auto Atlantic in CT when I spotted these babies..
Best part is I didn't even notice the new, shiny 435i M-Sport parked in front of them. I saw it when I was spent and walking away.
The sheer presence of this pair-o-fives masked every other new beemer there.
I want the silver one! :thumbs:

If this has been posted before then, tough!

Damn those are beautiful!
There is just something about these old cars that just have such an appeal to them! :inlove: Wow

Both e12's, the 530MLe is an early e12 and the 535i a later model e12.
Almost like an e90 and an e90 LCi.

Both E12's. Both beautiful. When cars were built by someone named Gustav and he used a hammer and a chisel...lol... Something about old BMW's, they conjour images of when the world didn't car about the ozone layer and it was all about the blunt lines and flowing corners. Stunning. Are they gonna be there long? Cos I want to go see them this weekend. Take the 6 for a spin.

Don't know how long they will be there. They need a wet floor sign for all the drool.

@Jandre - I don't know what I'm talking 'bout. Seems like e12 after all.

3speed, they are both E12's. The 530 is a late 70's model (chrome wing mirror easiest way to tell) and the 535 is an early 80's. The wing mirrors used on the 535 were the same used on the E28's that followed. But they are both E12s. Look at the rear quarter of the car, there are vents there, those never appeared on the E28. Also the nose on the E12 is sharper than that of the E28.

535 is also e12

Have to agree with UpNcOmiNg!
The e28 has the fuel filler on the right rear panel while the e12 has it on the back by the lic plate.

Nope 3speed. They are both e12s. The e28s are the ones with the wider tail lights.

Thank you Bugger! Vents is the easy way to spot. What threw me off was the fuel filler position. Thanks bud.
