Oil light

Hello there pps...

Can someone explain to me the following?
My m3 flashes 9 times exactly everytime when I start,it is nerve wrecking to see an oil light flash, I checked the oil level it is slightly more full then the usual as I just had an oil change?

Help please?

Did you change the oil at the dealership? If you did, I think they where supposed to reset the light. Maybe that's the problem?

Hi, This was not at a dealer, but a BMW techie, I reset the light myself tho. this is the oil light at the bottom of the dash not the top oil light.

while i was at the garage i asked them why my oil light flashed 9 times exactly everytime i turned the ignition on??
in there response they checked oil pressure and oil level and checked the oil was all ok and said to me it was just a faulty sensor!! so i have now orderd a sensor from them to cure let alone another problem with the car!!

Any prices on those sensors, can one fit them oneself or is it a big job? if the sensor is only the issue?
