Octane Booster and Fuel Suppliers

Hi,

I have my BMW 335 sorted after allot of issues with my tuner as made very public over the last couple of months.
I now want to try some octane booster. From what I have heard it is not bad for your engine. The reason I want to try it is I realized what a huge difference fuel makes in the car by trying different fuel suppliers.
My car sometimes has erratic idling issues if I fill it up with anything else then Shell. If the different brands makes that big of a difference then octane booster will have to make for some fun indeed.
Has anybody else had the experience with various fuel suppliers?

Please point me in the direction of a forum topic that will give me the best information regarding Octane Boosters. Even better will be if someone can point me in the direction of a garage that sells higher octane petrol in Cape Town. Also where can I buy octane booster and what is the best product on the market?

Thanks
Willem

I stock NF fuel additives these work well :)

the 335i loves NF ultra R 210 a bottle free shipping to CPT on 3 bottles or more

Buuut i would get the tune sorted out it is not nice to have to rely on octane boost just to keep the car running it should just be there for added power

if it were my car I would go to BMW and get the software changed back to stock then get a JB4

Dude , the Erratic idle is unlikely due to the fuels. Did it happen after the tune only?
Did u check your plugs/coils/injectors .

Almost all octane boosters will reduce the lifespan of your plugs

As suggested , one of the better tunes is a JB4. Increase octane with some Ethanol 20% or get a water meth kit :)
