Firstly Happy New Year Guys hopefully its a good year for everyone. But yea it can only get better for me thats for sure. Decided that I would not go away for the december period as I wanted to save the little money that I can. But of course nothing ever happens as we plan now does it. My parents decided to do the whole route 62 trip from jhb here on their Harleys. Everything went smoothly up until they hit stytlerville and my mother hit a serious pothole and did quite a bit of damage to the bike but she had a few scrapes and bruises. So to carry on my old man gives me a call and asks if I can drive down to pick up the bikes for him so they can fly back. So in I get into my 320i and start heading down with a bike trailer, everything was going smoothly until I passed Bloem. My rear tyre blows damaging my bumper, that didn't phase me too much so i changed to the spare and keep on going. 10km out of Colesberg my engines temp sky rockets to the red, and the car splutters and dies on me. Mechanic comes out at 10pm and tells me the head gasket is gone
anyways long story short, my quick trip down to colesberg cost me 2 tyres, 1 rim, and the head gasket :argh: luckily my brother is a mechanic and he sorted it all out for me. Bastards that replaced water expansion tank didn't connect the pipes correctly so I had a water leak and have never changed the oil and oil filter and still have the nerve to say that its been fully serviced through them for years..... So all i can hope is that this year will be a great year!
