Hey Guys,

Been browsing around on this forum for a few months, gotta say i dig the vibes :bravo:. I bought a 2002 318i f/l about 2 and a half years ago as a safer and more reliable car..and i've not been disappointed. Only problems experienced was in he cooling system which is a common issue on this model. Seriously grown to love it :=):

Here's the thing. After reading up so much, and so many negative comments about this particular engine (318i), im seriously considering selling it. No problems with it yet though.

What do you guys think?

Welcome, send me your vehicles vin no so I can see if there is a airbag campaign outstanding on your vehicle. These are nice vehicles, if you have issues there is always someone on this website with a solution or advice so don't panic. Any vehicle will need repairs as it get older.

Hi there

No it is nothing you need to look at, there are certain vehicles which BMW have said we need to replace the passenger side air bag. Because the vehicles have been sold on and most of the older vehicles don't come to the dealers anymore, it is difficult for the dealers to contact the clients and the information of the client is usually old. You can check my Forum on "Older BMW campaigns".
If your vehicle requires that the passenger side air bag needs to be replaced then the costs are covered by BMW, costs you nothing.
