whining/rubbing noise coming from the rear when I brake at low speeds or go over bumps. Could this be worn shocks? worn rubber joints? Car is a '04 320i just done lil over 60k kms.

Thanks

if its only when you brake or go over bumps, it might be the disc pad retaining clip. I had a similar problem on the front of my 320i a little while ago. New clip is about R20 is thats the problem.

if its not the rear brakes its worth having a look at the rear trailing arm bushes, spring, shock mounts and stop

Thanks for the advise. The noise seems to be getting worse.
I have an Inspection coming up in 4000kms, the 65000km inspection? (currently on 61000km)
Is this inspection I or II? - Will try and have the issue sorted under MP when i take it in.

Also a quiz question, will putting in aftermarket sound void any part of my motorplan?

Hey, D. It should be inspection 1. R1800 or so. I dunno about the motorplan on AM audio. I waited till on 101k before I installed some ice.

As far as the noise goes, you are under motorplan, so dont wait for the service. You are entitled to drive up to the dealers and have them look at the problem. Thats what the plan pays for.
