No power to driver door

baffled is the best way to describe how I feel,

on the way to drop the kids all is fine, lock the car, all o.k. Got back to the car, all working, start the car, try to open the window, nothing, try to adjust side mirrors, nothing, try to use central locking button, all doors close except driver door close. Could not reach to test windows of the other 3 doors.

Fuse ? WTF?

just went and look, the passenger window works (only on the switch at the passenger door) , all other 3 windows our out of action on the switch at the driver door and on the individual switch.

Also the seat memory function is also not working.

Hi. Similar thing happened to me some time back. Try these few things...
Remove the driver master window switch (use a screwdriver and pry loose from the front and pull out).
Check the contacts on the wire harnesses that plug in.
If not, open the module and check the contacts and solder points. clean and resolder dry or old cracked solder joints. plug the module in and see if it works.
Still not, then at the junction where the door wiring enters the car (at the door hinge end), undo the door harness (I think its a 8mm thin socket that you will need.). unplug the door harness, spray some contact cleaner on the contacts and plug it in again. This will hopefully solve your problem.
If not, open the door panel and check if all the wiring is intact. sometimes you may find a kinked wire, especially the ones that run along the airbag area and if the door panel was previously removed. Repair the broken/kinked wires and check if it works.
If not it may be your master window switch module that needs to be replaced.

I hope this helps.....

I'm glad you sorted it out. You may want to make sure the fuse didn't blow because of some short somewhere. I'd still check all connections to be sure, especially at the junction points of the driver door harness.

Hmmm I'm having similar problem, checked the fuses they seem fine.

My problem is happening on a random basis though, most of the time it doesn't work though, other times it magically works. I took the unit out but struggling to disconnect it from the wiring harness, as I want to take it appart and check the solde. Now since I tried to take it out my airbag light has come on so I'm pretty upset now about this whole ordeal.

Must I just pull harder on the connecting wires or is there a certain technique to this.

Thanks

Don't just pull!
The connectors have a type of loop that you have to slide over and this in turn will lift the connector up and off.

1.Look at the top of the connector.
2.Press down on the locking tab.
3.When the tab is pressed, the loop will be free to slide over the tab and as you slide the loop, the connector will come off.

I hope this makes sense. If not PM me and ill try getting a pic or explaining better.

BTW, always disconnect battery when unplugging connectors, esp in the doors, etc as this will trigger airbag light. Go to dealer or independent BMW mech to reset airbag light, or maybe someone on the forum near you has the reset tool.
