Next oil change in 30 000km ?

Hi everyone

I did a oil change on my car (e91 325), and followed this guide on resetting the oil service indicator

But for some reason it's showing 30 000km to my next oil change.
Surely this can't be right, or is it?

regardless of what the computer says, I would change oil in my car at 10k km max.

That is correct, mine is E90 323i, after resetting i think it said 27k or so. I will never change it every 10k unless I do track days once a month.

IMO 27k is way too long without an oil change Imo. I'd halve it

10-15K km max is when i would do an oil change regardless of what the computer says
most times i do an oil change at 8k km
the long oil service intervals that manufacturers specify is what causes sludge build up in the motor

Whichever comes first, a year or 10-12k km. :thumbs:
