Hi Everyone

Im New to the Mini Cooper universe.

My uncle just handed down his R53 (70km) mini to me. The only problem is that the steering pump is gone! and the clutch won't engage properly. I know the car is quite costly to own, but I got to say it one of the best drives yet....

I will be looking at getting assistance is bringing "Mjolnir" back to life without ripping a hole in my pocket. I hope I get good advice....

Can't wait.....

Welcome! Some might have different opinions on them being expensive. But at the end of the day it's all worth it. :joy:

man you lucky to get a car, well-done:thumbs:

But know I gotta pay to get out there, hence why Im here.....I need direction in terms of getting it going. I mean clutch system and steering pump should set me back about R30k.

but now I got so many people telling me I just need to replace the master/slave cylinder; some telling me to replace clutch and surface the flywheel, some telling me to do it all. So you can imagine what my mind is thinking.....one guy told me to do a clutch conversion to solid flywheel w/ spring clutch but most do not recommend it saying it will damage my transmission. ITS A NIGHTMARE!:bangdesk:
