New years resolutions.

What was yours and is it working or not?

Mine was to loose weight and I hit 10Kg down today, I was proud of myself during lunch as I watched the whole bloody office eating McDonalds whilst I forced cottage cheese, dry bread and an apple down. It's still worth it for feel goodness to get something right :)

Very good rick. My idea is to spend less on the house and more on cars this year !!! I took by Bimmer it today for a suspension overhaul.

Awesome Rick.

The McD's is just mean, I had a lil snotnose the other day order pizza just to piss me off.... seriously...

mine was stop smoking, diet and gym

so far : You have quit smoking for: 8 weeks, 6 days, 22 hours and 9 mins. You have saved: 2,642.77 Rand by NOT smoking 1,762 cigarettes!

gym I have done pretty much 5 to 6 days a week since mid jan. as for the weight, I have not lost anything significant, but wont till i lean out my diet.

10kg's is quite the achievement, keep it up :)

Now change your febuary resolution to turboing the E39

Mine is kinda lame, but its build up the courage to ask my girlfriend to marry me by end of March, its not the marriage part that scares me its the costs, wedding, house/place to stay etc:dunno: , its a big step financially but after reading a what HELLAS wrote the other day
If you wait for your finances to get married or to have kids, neither of them will happen. The sooner you start with both, the sooner it will go better.
it makes me feel good about this so thanks HELLAS:thumbsup:

Rick,

If you try again, get some 5HTP's from the chemist.

That stuff kept me sane, and both me and my wife alive...

Hey Justnn, just to add to that, definately don't wait, when I met my wife our combined income around R10k a month, we had a stunning wedding, bought a house, and had 2 wonderful children in the past 6 years, one is now almost 3 and the other almost 2 I will sell my BM for them... When you find the right person, your whole outlook changes, you start to look and find opportunities to better your lifestyle and move forward. Today I can proudly say that getting married to the right woman for me was the best thing I could ever do... We live a fairly comfortable life, and we grow closer everyday. Love it! Just do it, and take it a day at a time! Sorry for the thread Hijack guys.

My resolutions have been listed above by others:

Lose 10kg's - 5kgs down - 5 to go!
Ask the lady to marry me - 26th March (my birthday - she is taking me skydiving. I will ask her to marry me as Im about to jump and to give me an answer when she gets to the ground, safely!)

Talk about a leap of faith! :)

The way I see it: It's never the right time, but it's always the right time.

Been married for nearly three years now, and it is still the best thing ever. My baby girl is turning one next month, and tonight my wife said that she would like another one mid next year.
