I own a 2006 BMW 130i

I have recently purchased a used detachable tow bar that came with a BMW 1 Series controller. I have contacted BMW and did numerous searches on the web to try and find a wiring diagram for this, but to no success.

Is there perhaps anyone that could help me with a diagram for it.

If your car came with "trailer preparation" from factory, there will be a comb style connector under one of the rear arch liners. Your module will need power from the battery, and take the signal for switching the lights from there, assuming its not a "generic" harness meant to splice into the FRM or the light cluster(s)
