I agree with Gizmo, do a paint correction detail. That color is very rare.

+1
If you want to do a colour change just get it wrapped

For now Im going to be holding onto the colour, might try the detailing and see how it goes with the rest of the look I have planned. The rare colour factor is making me think twice as BMW's are best kept as original as possible IMO. Considering other options for colour changes like PlastiDip, Wrapping ETC.

The game plan for this week is to sort out the wheels - get some spigot rings as advised and also to get my arches rolled / flared, thinking of going to Zaki @ WheelWorks for that.. Any other recommendations?

I also found a set of stock e36 headlamps with clear indicators at Cape Paint and Panel, going for R1800 a set including the clear indicators. Need to check if they have the spotlights as well. Once I've got my hands on the parts I will be looking at fitting angel rings and polishing the lenses to give it that clean / clear HID effect, along with crystal spotlights..Looked on gumtree Found some guys in the Goodwood / Parow Area that do this but again any other recommendations for places that do this are welcome :)

Don't roll or flare the arches as you will destroy the car trying to make it fit those wrong size wheels and tyres. Rather buy the correct wheels and tyre sizes and you don't have to modify the car, pure and simple. You already have a willing buyer for your wheels and I have the original 17" wheels (Style 32) your car came with...win win win.

the offset is too big a difference to correct with flaring. I suggest changing the wheels

**BUMP**

Anyone know what type of HID's fit with the spotlamps? H1??? and what is the more preffered choice between 6000k and 8000k?

Also, checked with Bruce BMW spares here in Cape town, they only had one damaged headlight united and IMO I think they're very overpriced, cape paint and panel charges R2800 for the headlamps plus indicators, and then a friend told me its the same stock thats being sold by Autostyle online - currently going for R1790 - Can anyone vouch for their products?

6000k = blueish white.
8000k = useless.

Thanks bud:rollsmile: 6000k it is then..

only going to fit it in the spotlamps though as I will be fitting angels into the stock headlamps.

On a positive note, the spraypainter managed to clear his schedule for me and has started stripping the car today. Will post pictures as the work progresses.

So far I already need to find the rubbers that fit with the exterior door handles, anyone have any spares or ideas of where to start looking? Hoping to find the stuff from a shop perhaps before checking out scrapyards etc etc
