New mechanic needed

just brought my 2006 X3 to CT. The person who serviced my 2012 X3, won’t take on this one as the mileage is over 200 000km. Any recommendations for a passionate and capable mechanic to take my car to - I’m in the Goodwood area.

Yes. I’ve always had excellent service from them and respect their choice. Would like to find another business that will look after my old lady as well as they looked after her younger sister.

Unwilling to work on a high-mileage vehicle???

That's a first for a mechanic/shop. What's the reasoning behind this? I would think, much preventative maintenance work, etc...like replacing parts on the cooling system can all be done on a high mileage vehicle. 200k km is by no means high mileage.

I think their reason is that they have a huge customer base and will not take on new clients with high mileage vehicles because they don't have capacity. That is my assumption.

Take on cars? Is this insurance or a workshop! Wow this is hilarious. It sounds like these guys are going to adopt the car and work on it for free.

Well they can choose to run a business as they see fit.

So you are loyal past customer and they are saying no to your business. Quite a high five for you on “the books”.

You can also try RossTech in CT Northern Suburbs. Trained BMW mech (worked years at stellies bmw forsdicks) who has been running his own shop for a while.
