Hi All

So Iv'e recently taken ownership of my in-laws 2006 320d, with 165 000km on the clock. It's my first BMW and while I was hesitant to take on a car with such high mileage it came with deal that if anything major went wrong they would assist.

This forum has been a great and I've managed to do a few small things myself so far. Looking forward to learning more from all of you.

Regards

Adam

Hi all,

New to BMW, signing this week. Buying a newish 2017 320D M Sport F30, low mileage, bal of M.Plan. Saving +/- 200k from new car with same features /trims 640k.

Dealer offering brand new 2018 318i M Sport (well i supposed made in 2017) as an alternative so there is genuine peace of mind, but hesitant considering the performance and feature set of the 2017 320D. Either way i will stay with the car for at least 4 years.

Your advice please? Any major cons to the 320D or buying a used one? Outside the fact the 'someone' in your family may say 'oh its not new', despite almost 1/2 a bar! lol
if i maintain a low mileage say 15k a year and the vehicle is in good nic, with a bal on the original motor plan, can i easily get out of this is 4 years. i am happy to break even and step into a newer model at the time.

Thank you. Appreciate your advice.

318i is not a slow a car, performance is not as great as the 320D but still not a slow car. I would get the 320D because I like diesel and also they are bullet proof.

Hi Bud. Do you own intro thread with this info. You'll get more responses. My personal opinion is that new x18i/16i models are really junk. Rather get the 2.0 diesel.
