New car advice?

Hey guys

I'm going to be in the market for a new car early next year and need some advice...

It would have been a choice between the STI (2008 sedan shape), S3/S3 Sportback or 135i, but after recently seeing a stock standard 135i on the dyno making 205wkw, my mind is prety much made up:thumbsup:

Now what I want to find out, are there any parts in the engine of the 135i that are prone to break/fail?
Also, are there any other "manufacturing problems" with the car?
I know some makes of cars have common things that fail/break, so I'm hoping to get some feedback from the experts here!

Thanks in advance:thumbsup:

I just read: I want to buy a new car. Should I waste my hard earned money or simply buy a BMW.

A quick google search for common problems on the 135i reveals that there are only 2 cup holders, and many people are not happy about that :)

Only TWO cupholders? On a car of that caliber? Totally unacceptable.

Speak to Twinz, PMAC, Revo on 135/335. They have the first hand driving experience.

I have the 335 & Risipit has the 135, both amazing cars. The 335 seems to hug the road a little bit better than the 135 and seems to be a bit less responsive to handling quick changes of direction weaving between traffic. the 135 has amazing power and really sticks to the road. The 135 also seems to have better brakes that come standard with the car and are very responsive compared to the 335. the 135 also accelerates faster than the 335, which alas was one of the reasons i chipped the 335, cos the wife could not have a faster car:)
I still however prefer the 335 and have a huge amount of fun with her, often reaching 250km/ph++++
Risipit prefers her 135 to mine, and i think that the shape and style of the 135 coupe looks better than the 335:cursin:
If you can get one, you will have a constant smile on your face

Thanks PMAC, exactly the type of answer I was looking for!
I have to admit, seeing it make 205wkw stock standard kinda blew me away:excited: It must have awesome acceleration!

Have you or your wife had any problems with either of your cars?
