Hi guys,
Well I guess this is my first post.
And I would also like to mension, unfortunately, I do not drive a BMW myself. I drive Hyundai Tiburon and Toyota Supra, but my good old friend, Preetjies, drives a 318i! And what a joy to drive with him! (As we work together)
Well, what I can say is: I'm definitely a BMW fan. As I'm a petrol head, I love the 335i, 135i and M3's offcourse!
(If I could afford it, I would've bought all three models lol haha)
So I walked passed in Spar, saw the June 2012 "CAR" magazine, and what did I SEEEE....A BRIGHT YELLOW M3. (Posing with the red VW GTI - smaller picture!)
And I immediately turn to the M3 article. :blab:
They are restoring it back to a 6 cylinder motor. More powerful and lighter. (And hopefully more fuel efficient?!)
Also rumours are told the the M-division may be putting on a twin-turbo setup (90-degree, V6) or a classic inline six with three small turbo's.
CAR Mag: "In theory, 60-degree V offers the best primary balance for a six, however a 90-degree angle is required for the turbo's to fit. BMW must then solve this imbalance issue either balance shafts or a unique firing order, as it did with the V10 in the M5."
Outputs:
320kW and 550N.m of torque :tease:
"Also, there is debates inside Munich over possibility of renaming the 3 Series Coupe's and convertible's as the 4 series."
I'm very excited about this new M3. but the name "M4" doesn't work for me. It's like breaking the history/culture of the whole M division of the 3 series......:yuck:
I want to see this monster eat up everything.
