This is the BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coupe concept... like that zagato coupe that's supposedly what the next Z might look like. This could very well be the concept of the next 8 series. Possibly to compete with the likes of the Bentley Continental??

Looks a bit Italian and British mixed up with that 5 series GT character. With the 6 series coupe, I wonder if this will be a seller. Large super luxury coupes are not common place.

Not a concept anymore..... it's now called a fully working design study which is presented by BMW (not Pininfarina) at the Concourse de Villa d'Este .... the i8 prototype was cought at Winter Tests as an "Erlkönig" (see 8-Series section)

It is breathtaking. A large car for sure, but they have done an amazing job with the aesthetics. The interior is well put together too, though I don't like the diagonal piece of trim which separates the passenger from the center console (borrowed that one from the Jag F-Type me thinks).



My favorite feature design wise would be the wing mirrors which appear to sit on extended silver arms.



And lastly the coolest feature is the narrow window in the roof with it's internal illumination. AWESOME!
