Hello Guys

I am considering getting a NAS but there are quite a few options available online. I'm not looking for something fancy or super high tech. I have a 1.5TB 3.5" hard drive that I want get an enclosure for that I can hook up to the router I have at home. Anyone have some advice/recommendations for me? I've found this that seems to meet what I need and not being overly pricey.

I recently did a freenas box for my home. It works ok most of the time, but its not that fast. I'm thinking of changing it to windows system

Id rather spend a bit more and at leadt get a nas device that caters for 2 drives or more, pretty pointless limiting yourself to just 1 drive bay.

Dlink have a inexpensive 2 bay unit with RAID. Best bet if you want redundant backups

Look at the DLINK DNS 323 units

+1 dont see the benefit of a single unit bay.

you can also check www.phase2.co.za They generally have very competitive pricing with a decent range to choose from :thumb:
