Hi Guys, I need some help please. My blower on my e90 stopped working and I cant seem to get it working.

So the setup is as follows... Power Wire(3 wires)--->Final Stage Resistor--->Blower.

I tested the blower by putting in 12v directly and it works. I replaced the final stage with a new one from BMW. I tested the 2 wires on the harness and I get 12v when i turn on the fan. I tested the output of the final stage and get nothing.

Can a brand new final stage be faulty?

Is there anyone around fourways that will allow me to test my new final stage on their car? If you have a squeaky fan on low speed I will lubricate the bearings as well for helping. Its a quick 15min job.

Thanks

ye mine went for the recall, but the wire they replace has nothing to do with the blower.

I actually think the weather kills them judging on how shaft rusts.

Mine did exactly the same. Had to exchange the resistor for credit, used that for oil service parts. Got one at a scrappy for a few bob, working perfectly.

So shout out to my man @Jody for allowing me to test on his car. That man is a legend.

So my fan and both old/new final stages are working great. All fuses seem to be fine as well. My car did go in for the recall a few months ago.

Any ideas gents?

Solved : @Spiro found the blower recall document that showed the procedure for the repair. From that I was able to trace. Turned out to be a faulty ground wire.
