Good morning fellow members, I am experiencing rough long crank start up on coldstart bmw 335i n55 code is hpfp related as I got check engine light but goes away I had the car fuel pressure tested and was within spec also tested pressure on WOT wide open throttle no issues what should I do just replace pump before it fails eventually or what?

I've had this happen to my N54, and it was due to the exhaust side vanos solenoid that was faulty.

I see just not sure what to do coz this only happens when cold when she warms up she runs fine and strong no issues and sluggishness

Maybe check if any of the injectors are leaking, and the coil packs.

What is the fault code that comes up when you scanned?

Its throwing hpfp code just that one saying pressure is too low

There are a few different codes related to fuel pressure.

Have you checked the low pressure fuel pump? When this is faulty you can get the hpfp code.

Is the car tuned?
