Hi guys... Can any body tell me what are the symptoms of a failing fuel pump on the e36 M3? My car idles fine but when driving, at low revs it jerks at bit then it's fine till about 5000rpm then it sounds like it starts misfiring. Can anybody help?
Had the codes read on Monday on an auto boss unit and it only picked throttle position sensor fault replaced it and cleared the fault but the misfire is still there
Also could be faulty mosfet transistors in the ECU that drive the coils. Diagnosing this issue could end up being a very big headache. PM me, I have the number of a guy who used to work for the company that made the M3 ECUs.
Put the car on a diagnostic machine this morning and it came up with a valvetronic fault... Mechanic says Vanos problems and I might need to overall the vanos... Also say he doesn't have the tools to do it... SO.... Any advice would be much appreciated
