need 2 power plugs for gps, mp3 etc

Hello,

got too many gadgets and not enough power sockets and before you say get rid of the gadgets I do need/love them.

Car is a E 46 2004 318 i Tourer auto

Gadgets:

Cellphone charger
TomTom GPS
Portabel DVD player ( peacemaker whilst having kids in the car)
Ipod
MP3 player gadget

Gadgets not limited to above , won't run all of them simultaneously

My idea was to install 2 power sockets over and above the 2 I got, haven't got a clue where though? Any ideas?

I looked all over for ideas, can't find any threads on it

Help/comments/ideas are very welcome

I have seen somewhere some guy take out the cigarette lighter and convert that into a power socket :thumbsup

you can either add more lighter sockets or get a splitter that splits into two Splitter

I hardwired my GPS & Cellphone chargers under the dash/centre console that leaves the cig lighter available for another gadget.

Could also try mount 2 extra power points on the back of the centre console similare to the E60 5 series has.

Cell charger was similar except I have it coming out by the handbrake..

Had one of those splitters, the internal connections in the splitter burned out. Don't really want to go that route again
