When I bought the three e30s I owned previously, each time I said that I would not sell any of them which I eventually did. When I got the iS I thought that it would be my last e30 and it might be the case as I am pondering whether I should sell and when might be the right time for that. I hardly get time to drive the car. Taxis are a threat on a daily basis since they or another driver or myself could destroy a car I have worked so effortlessly on to restore. My son still very young and to keep it for him will take another 6 or more years. He is also not interested in cars. But I want to fit the Throwing Stars still,.and the Alpines..to conclude the process. I have spent a fortune and am not sure how much she will be worth in return. Wife reckons I will just go and look for another one which I doubt. I am not young anymore and a 5-series is my idea of a retirement car...The new owner of the iS will not be the one who can pay what I want but an enthusiast...someone who will continue to build on the work already done on the car.The car is not yet for sale... I am just sharing some thoughts...

The iS has got an e30 brother now...He was seriously neglected, had his engine and gearbox removed. Was left to rust....But was rescued and hopefully can be restored!
Yes, it is a 333i. The only one in the Land of the Brave. No, he won't be sent to SA like the iS. But will try to restore with the help of the BMW community.
Yes. Crackless dash. Cluster still original. Steering wheel gone. But have the original block and intake. Car currently has a 535 engine in engine bay. Right hand side sill missing. Some serious rust on car..
I have read this post from start to finish, and I am left dumb struck by your perseverance, patience and sheer love to get you through this project, I have nothing but admiration for your efforts.
Well done!!!!!:coolShake::coolShake::coolShake:
Been struggling since October 2015 to get papers. Been on the phone again this morning with official at our Natis centre. Planning to strip engine next week. Will post pics...
Congrats on acquiring a big brother man! Damn, I am envious of your little collection even though there is so much work involved!
So keen to see this one to completion!
