N54 335i

Hi guys,

Im in the market for an x35i N54, i just want to know what are the common things that i should look out for when checking the cars? i had a look at an E93 335i the car has an exhaust, not sure about down pipes though, what i did notice was that when the car was pushed a bit hard and i released the accelerator to change gear, there was a slight release from the turbos like a slight dump, the car looks stock except for the exhaust, is that normal?

As a daily drive, family car or for modding/racing purposes?

Check to see if the common recall's have been done.

Search the forum and you will get lots of info on the recalls.

X35's use divertor valves so you should not hear that whoosh sound like that of dump valves, unless something has been changed.

You just missed out on a 335i sold for R180k by a forum member. Car still had MP as well.

@Twinz it will be a weekend car, my goal is to have a JB4 installed, with dp's, intake and charge pipe with a bov...

Need to check turbos's, injectors, water pump, fuel pump and waste gates. Look for one with a few months left of motorplan so your last service will be covered. In the last service get them to do all recalls

Hi Bud

I just spotted this on Autotrader.

Mileage is a little high, but a 2010 DCT at that low price maybe wort looking at.
