The wait is finally over. iOS 8 is here!

Fellow Apple users:

I've put together a Download and Install Guide to make it easy for you, along with some tips, and direct download links to all the firmware files.

Great to use with a download manager and max out your line speed, instead iTunes crummy built-in one,

Guide: http://iphoneza.co.za/ios-8-is-here-download-install-guide/

Ahh yeah... We did report why 4S users might want to wait... http://iphoneza.co.za/iphone-4s-might-want-install-ios-8-yet/

But you did the best thing imo! Upgraded and downgraded while Apple is still signing iOS 7.1.2. After the end of today or tomorrow (if they haven't done so already) they will stop signing iOS 7.1.2 and then everyone is tied down to iOS 8!

Jailbreak is great particularly for older devices such as yours, where you can fine-tune it to your requirements :D

Got it on my 5S last night. It's like getting a whole new phone (for most part:rollsmile:)

Interesting! Most people say the opposite. I for one think it feels nice and refreshed. And even I came from the Beta versions of iOS 8, not straight from iOS 7.

I'm interested to know what made it feel like a whole new phone for you, coming from iOS 7 :)

Well there seems to be one small bug that we have replicated with all the updates at my office. Not sure if it is network related and the problem does seem to happen intermittently but out of 4 updates here it happened on all 4 phones. Straight after updating people could not get a hold of me, it would just ring on their end. We tested it on 3 other phones here at the office and in all cases the first phone call did not want to ring on the person being called's phone. Second call went through. In 2 cases the first call from multiple people did not come through but when we dialed a second time the calls came through. So if you are experiencing a quite day after updating chances are people only tried to call you once. Any one else experience this?

I've searched around and found quite a few tips and tricks that I started using. All these nice new features makes it seem like a new phone to me. (Ok, maybe not a totally new phone altogether but you get what I mean)

Vrou updated hers at work a while ago and we been chatting with sound clips on iMessage. Small things but still... :=):

Seems fine on my 5s, havent really tested battery yet

Oh yes, that! Haven't been on my phone that much today but the battery seems to be going down a bit faster or maybe I am imagining it.

Strange! Were all those people on the same network?
