Consumption is okay for such a lump. I get around 8,5km per litre in town.
Will be taking her on a nice long drive early next month, so then I will get an idea of open road consumption.

Quickly took a pic while she was clean, Jandre?

My cousin had the same one and indeed a nice vehicle.
Waar gaan handeviervoet julle? My brother's got a Triton double cab and he frequents Atlantis dunes.

I want to get out to Atlantis again soon, other than that, we are planning a trip to Babelonstoorn again. Soon as it gets a fraction warmer, and kiddie is a bit older. They have two adjacent flats, sleeping 12 people. The idea is to take the Pajero, Blackie's Jeep Cherokee, and my brother's Colt, and then the men(and boys) go play.

@Hellas. I sent her for a nice wash/ vacuum yesterday, and went to Malmesbury today. The car is dirty already.

I did realise something though. Days 1 to 7 they get really really dirty. weeks 2 to 4, the dirt can't stick to the other dirt, so the car doesn't get dirtier (barring the occasional mudbath of course). :)

This is the first wash in 4 weeks for the poor car.

:thumbsup: Nice Jandre...she is ready for the open road.

Have you come up with a personal name for her yet?

@ Twinz - I was hoping some of the X5 guys would want to go on a 4x4 drive, but nothing so far.

As for the name... I think Hellas summed it up nicely. "Darth" As in Darth Vader. The car has an electrically operated aerial. :)

Jandre, PLEASE go make a turn by that bar called UPSTAIRS in Malmesbury. Coming from up north, me and a mate didn't make it to CT on time to watch a Stormers game earlier this year and we decided to stop in M/Bury to watch the game. Stopped at the first place in the main road where we saw a bunch of guys on the stoep and assumed that there will be rugby there. They didn't even know about the game. (I hope they are not locals, Leon)

So we were directed to Upstairs, a sport bar nogal. Got there and the sound was, well, eish. This buzzing sound coming from the big-ass speakers and we eventually offered the owner to have a look at it so that we may at least HEAR the commentary... In the DJ box...oh, boy, how do I put this lightly...damn...wires everywhere with connection types unheard of...

Couldn't get anything sorted there besides create a lot of static sounds and noise, so we eventually decided to cut our losses for the first half and shoot through to Durbanville in an erratic manner so we can at least get to the second half...

So, in short, there is some business out there, Jandre.
