Howzit Guys.

After many days hunting for a Bmw e46. I eventually found one :excited::excited:
She drives like a dream..... Shes 6yrs old, but doesnt look a day over one :)

Needs a few touch ups....like a very small dent or two. Any suggestions on who or where to take her to?

The other problem shes got is that my WIFE wants her for herself.

Again i would to thank those on the forum for giving me advice :clap:

I own a MSport e46. the body kit is the same as the individual. the front bumper, side skirts and rear bumper are exactly the same.

Ive seen 2 other m sports - they along with my car come with the 17 inch Sportpack rims. So,I would assume that this is how the MSport comes... not with the individual rims (same as the 330ci).

Also your door floor panels say "BMW Individual" whereas the M Sport just has " ///M " logos. The interior trim is the same (the carbon fibre look), the lights are the same including clear indicators and rear clusters.

I dont have a centre arm rest. neither did the other 2 ive seen, though this may also have been optional.

finally, you have a sunroof, whereas we didnt.

Other than the rims, logos, sunroof, and cente arm rest I dont see any other differences. I would think that the interior would be an option as well. I have alcantara / Cloth, whilst the others have Leather.

Maybe others here would also know.

Oh BTW, Awesome car.

Hi guys,

Some clarification for all of you. Hope I get it all right

What mainly signifies an INDIVIDUAL model is the special body paint and interior trim and from 2004 the standard 18” rims.

In addition to the paint and trim choice, pre-face-lift INDIVIDUALS (1999-2001) received white indicator lenses front, rear and sides and the very same rims that are on Jose's car.

Face-lifted INDIVIDUAL models (from 2001) got their very own unique INDIVIDUAL Sports body kit - same as what you see on Jose car with the same 17" rims.

From 2004 (including some late 2003) BMW SA created the E46 M Sport Pack II. This replaced the old Spor Kit with the INDIVIDUAL Body Kit. This M Sport Model also received all the other INDIVIDUAL treatments like Anthracite Roof Lining, M Sports Wheel, M Gear Knob etc but you couldn't order the special exterior colours and special interior trim (that was reserved for the real INDIVIDUAL). It also came with the 17" rims like on Jose's car but the interior door sills had an ///M logo on it.

From 2004 the only way to identify the real difference between a M Sport II and a true INDIVIDUAL is if it had the special INDIVIDUAL paint, special interior leather, shod with the INDIVIDUAL 18" rims and the BMW INDIVIDUAL logo on the door entry sills. The 18" rims were only standard from 2004 INDIVIDUAL Models. The M Sport II was merely launched in 2004 to boost sales of the E46 just before its E90 replacement in 2005.

This is even a common today with the pre-facelift E90 getting a Special Edition buddy just before LCI to boost sales again and we have just heard about the launch of the new Dynamic Edition E90 only last week, a means to boost sales before it's replacement in 2011/12.

In my opinion, launching a cheaper option E46 M Sport II package which used 99% of the INDIVIDUAL's parts bin seriously diluted the pure essence and uniqueness of the BMW INDIVIDUAL and to be honest we've yet to see a real E90 INDIVIDUAL.
So, if you’ve got your hands on an E46 that is a real INDIVIDUAL then you’ve got something special in my view.

PS: I’ve put this together very quickly while working so might come back and correct and add pictures if I can find some.
