Howsit guys
its being a while since i posted albeit had to share some details on the new car. i recently purchased a f80 m3 (last week) coming from a e92 competition pack which was my fav car by far. You actually cannot beat the sound of that v8 and the sleek body of the e92. Every drive was definitely an event and actually think that i will get another one, maybe a knee jerk decision to trade it in.
That being said, the f80 is extremely talented and very capable. Most notably is the power delivery difference, the manner in which this thing pulls is mind-blowing in every gear and i am finding particularly in 4th it has legs. BMW has really outdone themselves with the handling too, it feels very planted and confidence inspiring however easily steps the tail out which makes it really fun. i don't know what the fuss is all about the steering feel, yes it does not have the same feel as the e92 but I think that it does its job really well, it is direct and honestly when driving at pace you dont really try focus on the steering feel because there are so many other elements providing great feedback as a combination. I don't like the downshifts at all and god knows i tried to get something...lol. Seems i have mastered the gun shot sound when shifting from my 135 and this does the same. This may sound really odd but of my favourite things is the seats, much better support and a great driving position. i had a similar view when i went from the 135 to the M but this is MUCH MUCH better.
well thats it for my small write up, I am definitely planning do a review with both cars soon for fun.
here are some pics
