My E46 needs a little TLC

Hi Guys,

I'm fixing my car up and am looking for:

1. My drivers side door handle won't open from the outside - there is no resistance. Short of going to the dealership, is there any way to fix it?

2. My rear right window's cable got tangled up in the motor and it looks like it only needs a new cable - the mechanism and motor are still fine. Is there anywhere to get a new one?

3. My boot lights and boot 'handle' no longer work. The boot only opens if I use the key. I've checked the fuses and they look fine. Any ideas?

4. My engine fan said 'howzit' on an uphill in the heat with the AC on. I don't know if it is the thermostat or what. Is there someone who can check it? The fan stayed on and ran the battery flat on the day. I have since disconnected it. It seems a waste to replace the entire fan with housing etc.

Any advice would be appreciated.

2. Replace the whole unit, Beemow's sell complete units for around R550 - 600. (Stealers is around R2000 +)

3. Check the wiring harnass between the cars body and bootlid, wires tend to break inside from opeing and closing the bootlid.

4. Check the fan relay in the engine compartment/fusebox... Seems like something is not switching it off. Could be thermostat aswell.

wast his car panel beated as some stage? seems like poor refitting to me...
