Hi there everyone,
So this is a bit long overdue but now is as good a time as any, as they say. I joined the forum as an aspiring BMW, fanatic at heart in search of information on the brand and this forum delivered and then some.
I've always had been a fan of the E46, the E90 and E60 and was equally drawn to each of them for different reasons but all of that changed after I read a thread on E46s which had a YouTube link to a 330i with a stock exhaust, I opened it and the rest was history. It was just epic, reading up on the car made me more fascinated and then my mind was made up.
I started my search on the forum, asking for advice from current owners and what I learnt was invaluable :ty: I started hunting for one. With the help of @Coisman and @Riaad , I weeded out the not so good ones from gumtree until I saw one which turned out to be from the forum. This was perfect because my first preference was for a fanatic owned car so this was rather fortuitous for me. In case it isn't clear yet, I am the new and proud owner of @Kyle's 03 330i (M) Individual. Now the particulars are well detailed over
here.
After a seamless interaction and planning of the trip to Durban, I made the trip over a weekend with a colleague who would help on the drive back.
Upon arrival:
I am glad to say, it is everything I expected. I took this during a break on the drive home.
She is lovely.
Took this after arriving home 900km later. Did run out of fuel after doing around 750km give or take on a single tank, but that's a story for another day:roflol:
The bugs:thumbdo:
Drove her to the mall the next morning, just for the whole ordeal to sink in
Cleaned her up of the trip dirt, my cleaning skills need some work and I will definitely keep brushing up my skills
So, it's been a little over a week, the verdict? Well, I look at her twice after locking up, rush to the garage at the sound of an ant farting anywhere near her and baby her to the point that it frustrates everyone around me so make of that what you will :dunnoanymore:
Took this yesterday, rain and all
I am really thankful to everyone who partook in my journey as I got my first BMW, I look forward to enjoying this community (the best ever!) and the car for a long time to come.
Thank you for reading my endless drivel:smilebounce:
