Well as you know I wanted to decat my car, but doing more research at the moment on(pricing, whether to fit straight pipes or silencers etc..), so this morning I thought, before I do anything I would like to see the power output before I do any changes to the car, so that I can compare later on when changes do happen.

decat, tune and ratio is about as far as i would go on an M3, but if you really want to go mental you could also fit a supercharger

Always a good thing to put car on the rollers even if you not planning modding. You would have always wondered.

Wow. My supercharged 323i is 303Nm and 155kw. That's all at the wheels. That last M3 Cab must have something really wrong with it.

I guess different dyno's means different readings, but I'm no expert.

you should call and find out what an M3 normally does on the dyno if you want to compare... or maybe someone that know the dyno can comment :)

I actually asked the guy who dyno'd the car what the average output is, and he mentioned in the range 170kw - 190kw. He said my car pulls strong. He also said that in test1 the car wouldn't allow him to rev over 6000rpm, hence test2 on the prinout.

I made 182wkw and 330nm.

Maybe I should shoot passed Shane at KAR and have a run as well, then we can do a base comparison between stock m3's and modded ones.

Keen to do it on the same day?

sav dyno is very stingy
on a dyno run 2 days before i had it remapped by sav
it made 118.3kw @ 5500rpm 219nm @ 4096rpm
on savs dyno it made 102.7kw @ 5971 and 188nm @ 4639rpm
we got 108.1 @ 5759rpm and 187nm@ 4646rpm after the remap
nothing was done the day between the runs
the question is why is the peak power at different rpm on different dynos

More air flow hence increased volume plus cooling
