My Alien went 8

So boys just to inform all the complainers out there. Just got Win 8 on my alien and she runs better than she did on 7. Its seems the new Win 8 release has improved on working with hardware and its not so bad compatibility wise. (Well if you a gamer you might complain on downloaded games).

For those that hates the interface with no start. I downloaded a took called start8 and at least I have my start button back that works like a bomb. I can also as an added note say that security has been improved 10 fold.

For any more news or tricks i will keep you posed.

If you or if you know someone that has a MCP you can get a free legit license from tech net. They normally give 3 to 5 to MCP's.

Chucky looking at kernel setup, its very much like 7. I still pref my Linux but for gaming I have to admit dealing with hardware, 8 is a better bet. Unfortunately we have gone into a mobility era so taking that into regards they did a good job.

Just had a quick look at the OS but was not very impressed.
Good to know there are the nice "tweaks" out to improve the interface.
Will play a bit more with it when i get a chance.

I still have XP on my computer. :fencelook: Although all the hardware is updated i just like XP more than i liked any of the other systems.

I did infact "buy" Win 7 last night. I have to format my computer so might as well go 7 but i think 8 still needs more tweaks.

Like I said download something called start8 and you have win 7!!! LOL... Dont think this kite will fly the same win 7 did, but at the end of the day we still have a while before we can call it stable. Thus far there is no patches or SP's on it, so we will have to wait and see.

The interface sucks I know. But I do suppose if you sue it what is was build for (touch screen) it does make a major difference.

Speaking of hacking a website, is there anyway to trace that? Somone hacked mine not too long ago and i lost everything, there was no back up, and then about a week ago my email was hacked( my pop3 ) and ive been getting over 1000 returned undelivered spam emails a day.

I ran windows 8 from last year November.

I've got it currently installed on my ASUS N76VM laptop with Office 2013.
I used to have it on my work PC.

All I can say is....it's a load of shit. Period.
It's a Win 7 platform with a shell running as the start button.
I also downloaded the "start" button called "Classic Shell"

I formatted my PC back to Win 7 Professional and a lot happier.

They need to sort out still a few issues. When you work as a IT-Technician and need to support this with SBS 2011/ SBS 2008 / SBS 2003 / Exchange / SQL / Pastel / Ghost / Legal suite and all this 3rd party programs.... to put this simple.... it gets ugly.

Lets just say Win 8 is not ready yet. I'm sure for personal use it works and you can live with it.. Games also seems to work fine.

Win 8 excellent for touch screen devices but not for desktop work. I uninstalled 8 and went back to 7 even win8 start did not fix my frustration... But with touch screen its brlliant :thumbs:
